Flashback 2017

This post is a week late; we are almost a week into 2018. However, I could not find time to put things together as we were doing what we love to do most … traveling. To put an end to the 2017 travel calendar, here is the what the year that went by looked like… Bhutan: I went to Bhutan in 2006 and finally got the chance to revisit this lovely country. Sergiev Posad: Day Trip from Moscow

When I was chalking out the itinerary for Russia, my intention was to explore the entire Golden Ring, which is a ring of about seven cities located in the North East of Russia. I have a list of things that I need to bring back from every country to complete our 'Home Sweet Home'. Our abode has a Turkish lamp from Istanbul, an ostrich egg from South Africa, a carved wooden door from Zanzibar, bright red clogs from Netherlands, floor carpet from Oman, papyrus paintings from Egypt... the list goes on. It truly looks like a travellers house! Obviously, on the list was 'Matryoshka Dolls from Russia'. Now that I was in Russia, I just had to pick up a set.
