Seychelles: Best Beaches on Praslin and La Digue

This is one post that I have had to edit many times...Ankur and I took quite sometime in agreeing on the names that should go into this list. But finally, we have our list... our top five beaches in the Seychelles. These beaches are picked up from only a handful of beaches that we could visit on the islands of Praslin and La Digue. All, except one (Felicite), are easily accessible as we cannot fathom the concept of hiking to get a beach. Working too hard to get to a beach doesn't gel well with our lazy bones, which take their truest form on a beach vacation.

Seychelles : One Week Itinerary

We are off to Seychelles in mid November... and we can't wait to hit the azure blue waters and the emerald green hills. We have been figuring out what to do during the week... browsing the net, reading books and magazines and speaking to those who have already been there. Options are plenty, ranging from doing nothing on the sunbed to diving and hiking. Obviously, Ankur wants to do the former and I want to do the latter. With quite some effort, we have finally come up with an itinerary that makes both of us smile.

Lake Nakuru Lodge: Review

Lake Nakuru Lodge is inside the national park, on a small hill, overlooking the Nakuru Lake. It is this lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. The waters of the lake look like strawberry milkshake when flocks of flamingos arrive. If you are lucky to get a lake facing room, the early morning views are enchanting. Though the lake is too far to spot the flamingos, the landscape is breathtaking. The soft sunlight dances over the lake and this 'ballet' is a delight to watch while sipping coffee from the sit out of your room.

Hilton Shillim: Review

For Mumbaikars and Puneris who want a quick break, Hilton Shillim is perfectly located. It's a 2.5 hour long drive from either of these cities. The closest railhead is Lonavala. It takes about 1 hour to get to the property from Lonavala town. Its is best to have your own wheels to get here. The drive is beautiful and you will want to stop umpteen number of times to click the landscape.

Greece: 10 Day Itinerary

We spent ten days in Greece - between Athens and island hopping and enjoyed every single day! However, planning a trip to Greece can be stressful because of the sheer number of islands that the country has to offer...and I am not even talking about the bountiful mainland as yet! So, for those who need some ideas to start planning their Greek sojourn, here is the itinerary that we followed after doing quite a bit of research.

How to Start a Travel Blog?

Travel blogging does not make us much money, at least, not as yet. I am still living on with the hope that one day, it will generate enough cash for us so that we can live off the blogging income and say farewell to the non-creative financial sector jobs that Ankur and I hold. Ankur is not too hopeful that such a day will ever come! Regardless of the outcome, the blog shall continue to...
