Zanzibar: Costs and Budget

We spent one week in Zanzibar - we soaked in some sun...I did a couple of dives and Ankur slurped on many cocktails. We also did a lot of fun activities together like visiting running behind butterflies, photographing monkeys and swimming with dolphins. For those who are planning a fun filled vacation to this African gem, with plenty of sun and surf, here is what our expense sheet looked like….

Michamvi Sunset Bay Resort – Review

Zanzibari beaches are stunning - each and every single one of them. The water is blue the sand is soft and the sea life is abundant. The coast line is a perfect backdrop to click umpteen postcard like pictures. The sky turns into a colourful palette every evening and you would wish time would stand still to let you enjoy these moments forever. Such was our experience at the Michamvi Bay Sunset Resort.

Maru Maru Zanzibar: Hotel Review

Stone Town is dotted with every range of accommodation - luxury five star chains, cosy boutique hotels and tiny bed and breakfasts. Our hotel of choice was Maru Maru, a well located boutique hotel with architecture that clearly reflects influences of the Arabic style. Zanzibar: One Week Itinerary

If you are a beach lover and haven’t been to Zanzibar as yet, trust me, you are missing something in life. If you are wondering where Zanzibar is…this archipelago is just off the Tanzanian coast and comprises of many small and two large islands - Unguja and Pemba. The islands are surrounded by azure waters, teeming with sea life. Zanzibar was the hub of spice and slave trade, that have resulted in its unique culture - a mix of Indian, Arabic and European.

Zanzibar: Photoblog

We love beaches. Our love for beaches has taken us to Maldives, Thailand, Seychelles, Bali and numerous places in India. Zanzibar was on our bucketlist as it is supposed to have beautiful beaches, which are washed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. The waters are teeming with life and there are high chances of being able to swim with dolphins and even whale sharks!
