Bhutan: Packing Tips

With less than 24 hours left, I am busy packing. As per the weather forecast, Bhutan will be cold during the next week. The maximum temperature would be about 15 degrees Celsius and the minimum would be close to 0 degrees Celsius. It's time to take out the winter gear that is seldom used in India. So, here is a lit of stuff that's made its way into our bag...

Bolivia Hop: Review

Internal flights in South America cost a fortune, especially if you book last minute tickets. I had blown up so much cash flying from Brazil to Bolivia that flying internally in Bolivia wasn't an option for me. There are no train routes in the country for passengers; rail is used to transport minerals. The only option I had was to hop from one place to another by bus, as most tourists do. So, I hopped on a bus...run by Bolivia Hop.

Top 10 Things To Do In Rio

I spent a week in Rio, primarily on the beach, enjoying the sun and the surf. I loved every minute of it! I went ga-ga over the soft sand and blue waters ... it seemed impossible for me to move from the beach and hop on a bus to explore the city. However, towards the end of the week, I finally bid adieu to the lounge chair and visited some attractions of the city. Here are top ten things that I would recommend to do while you are in Rio ....

Stone Town is dotted with every range of accommodation - luxury five star chains, cosy boutique hotels and tiny bed and breakfasts. Five reasons to visit Israel

I haven’t planned my next trip as yet. The canvas is blank and I am yet to decide. Winter is around the corner, and I would want to visit a place that isn’t gloomy…where winters are fun. I want to feel the nip in the air, yet see the sun shine. I had these thoughts in mind and could not zero down on a place…until I saw a video from Israel Tourism last night, which has put Israel high up on my list. Later that night, Ankur and I went out for dinner to a Mediterranean restaurant, which reminded me of our last trip to the Middle East, when we feasted on delicious mezze and fresh salads. Possibly, these are signs that I should consider visiting Israel soon!

So, where do I go next? Taiwan, baby! Sometimes, life throws unexpected surprises at you and my trip to Taiwan is one such surprise. Zanzibar: Photoblog

We love beaches. Our love for beaches has taken us to Maldives, Thailand, Seychelles, Bali and numerous places in India. Zanzibar was on our bucketlist as it is supposed to have beautiful beaches, which are washed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Travel Blogging: Its not all rosy!

I love my job as a travel blogger. I work as per my schedule. Sometimes, I get paid to travel. Most of my trips are at least part sponsored, if not full. Any day, this is a better place to be in as compared to my corporate banking role... at least, that is how I am feeling at this moment. However, there are some woes that I have as a travel blogger, or rather, as a newbie full time travel blogger. If you do intend to take blogging your full time job, read on...it is a fun ride...but it isn't a smooth ride!

Vienna in Two Days

Most travellers bundle up Vienna, Prague and Budapest together in one trip. Some others, like us, land in Vienna, explore the city and then move on to further explore Austria. Whether you are exploring the capital cities of Europe or are spending more time in Austria, you will possibly end up spending two days in Vienna, which are enough to only get a glimpse of this city. There is so much to explore here - museums, palaces, music and opera, parks, shopping arena and of course, food. If you want to truly experience it all, you will need much more time than just a couple of days.

Goa: Monsoon Magic

In August this year, I spent a week in Goa during the peak monsoons. When I headed out, I wasn't expecting much out of the trip. It was a solo trip...a trip without Ankur after quite a while. However, the monsoons made me fall in love with Goa and I am sure that I will revisit this state next year in either July or August.
